ActiveSG Programme Partnership
ActiveSG provides a wide ranging of sports and fitness programmes at our ActiveSG sports centres located island wide. Should you be interested to partner ActiveSG to provide sports and fitness programmes, please submit your programme details to sport_programming@sport.gov.sg. Please note that coaches and instructors will be required to submit documents and certifications to indicate that they are qualified to deliver the programmes as indicate below.
1. COACHING CERTIFICATIONS
1.1 NROC SPORTS
Sports Providers offering the NROC Sports will need to have their instructors/coaches registered under the National Registry of Coaches (NROC). During the two-year endorsement period, instructors/coaches will also be invited to attend clinics, workshops, and conferences as part of the NROC requirement on continuing education (CCE).
To register, visit National Registry of Coaches. Sports Service Providers are strongly advised to inform your coaches and instructors to obtain regular updates and information from the National Registry of Coaches.
1.2 OTHER SPORTS
1.2.1 National Coaching Accreditation Programme (NCAP) Technical Equivalent
Sports service providers will be required to submit your coaches relevant technical certificate equivalent if your coaches are not equipped with NCAP Technical Level 1.
1.2.2 National Coaching Accreditation Programme (NCAP) Theory Courses
Course Schedules are available for NCAP Theory Level 1, NCAP Theory Level 2 and NCAP Theory Level 3. Registration can be done at National Coaching Accreditation Programme page.
1.2.3 National Coaching Accreditation Programme (NCAP) Theory Accreditation
If your coaches are not equipped with NCAP Theory, but have other prior learning / experience / certificates, you may seek NCAP Theory Accreditation.
Accreditation level will depend on evidence of prior learning. To seek NCAP Theory Accreditation, please:
- Complete the NCAP Theory Accreditation Form
- Attach evidence of your relevant documentary proof of prior learning, e.g. academic/coaching certificates, transcripts with/and brief course descriptions, evidence of coaching experience (letters of appreciation, coaching awards, etc.).
*The NCAP Theory accreditation process would take up to 4 weeks.
1.3 FITNESS PROGRAMMES
Fitness providers will be required to submit their certification to indicate that they are qualified to deliver the fitness programmes.
1.4 NATIONAL STANDARD FOR YOUTH SPORT (NSYS) / VALUES AND PRINCIPLES IN SPORTS (VPS)
All Sports Service Providers offering programmes for children and youths age 16 years and below will require their instructors/coaches to complete the National Standard for Youth Sports (NSYS) or Values and Principles in Sports (VPS). Visit VPS for more information and to register.
1.5 COACH’S ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FORM
All Sports Service Providers with the exception of individuals have to get their instructor(s)/coach(es) listed in their submitted programmes complete the Instructor’s/Coach’s Acknowledgement Form
1.6 STANDARD FIRST AID
Instructor(s)/coach(es) are to be equipped with a valid recognised Standard First Aid Certificate at point of submission and at point of conduct of programme. Please view the List of First Aid courses recognised by Sport Singapore.
